30. Strengthening the soul, the Church of Christ the Lord grows (see Acts 9:31)
Fapte 9:31 Biserica se bucura de pace în toată Iudeea, Galileea şi Samaria, se întărea sufleteşte şi umbla în frica Domnului; şi, cu ajutorul Duhului Sfânt, se înmulţea.
Acts 9:31 Then the churches throughout all Judea, Galilee, and Samaria had peace and were edified. And walking in the fear of the Lord and in the comfort of the Holy Spirit, they were multiplied.
INTRODUCERE – INTRODUCTION:
În ciuda prigoanei împotriva mărturiei lui Pavel și a Bisericii, Duhul Sfânt face ca Biserica să crească, iar unul din principiile care caracteriza biserica este faptul că se întărea sufletește sau edifica spiritual, descoperind faptul că maturizarea spirituală aduce automat și-o creștere numerică.
Despite the persecution against the testimony of Paul and the Church, the Holy Spirit makes the Church grow, and one of the principles that characterize the church is that it strengthens the soul or builds spiritually, discovering that spiritual maturity automatically brings numerical growth.

1. Cuvântul lui Dumnezeu are un rol foarte important în edificarea sau întărirea sufletească
Fapte 20:32. Şi acum, fraţilor, vă încredinţez în mâna lui Dumnezeu şi a Cuvântului harului Său care vă poate zidi sufleteşte şi vă poate da moştenirea împreună cu toţi cei sfinţiţi.

1. The word of God has a very important role in the edification of the soul or the strengthening of the soul
Acts 20:32 “So now, brethren, I commend you to God and to the word of His grace, which is able to build you up and give you an inheritance among all those who are sanctified.

2. Folosirea anumitor daruri date prin Duhul Sfânt, duce la edificarea sau întărirea sufletească
1 Cor 14: 3. Cine proroceşte, dimpotrivă, vorbeşte oamenilor, spre zidire, sfătuire şi mângâiere. 4. Cine vorbeşte în altă limbă se zideşte pe sine însuşi; dar cine proroceşte zideşte sufleteşte Biserica.
1 Cor 15:57. Dar mulţumiri fie aduse lui Dumnezeu, care ne dă biruinţa prin Domnul nostru Isus Hristos! 58. De aceea, preaiubiţii mei fraţi, fiţi tari, neclintiţi, sporiţi totdeauna în lucrul Domnului, căci ştiţi că osteneala voastră în Domnul nu este zadarnică.

1 Corinthians 14:3 But he who prophesies speaks edification and exhortation and comfort to men. 4 He who speaks in a tongue edifies himself, but he who prophesies edifies the church.
1 Corinthians 15:57 But thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ. 58 Therefore, my beloved brethren, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that your labor is not in vain in the Lord.
3. Rugăciunea cu biserica duce la edificarea sau întărirea sufletească
1 Corinteni 14:14. Fiindcă, dacă mă rog în altă limbă, duhul meu se roagă, dar mintea mea este fără rod. 15. Ce este de făcut atunci? Mă voi ruga cu duhul, dar mă voi ruga şi cu mintea; voi cânta cu duhul, dar voi cânta şi cu mintea. 16. Altminteri, dacă aduci mulţumiri cu duhul, cum va răspunde „Amin”, la mulţumirile pe care le aduci tu, cel lipsit de daruri, când el nu ştie ce spui? 17. Negreşit, tu mulţumeşti lui Dumnezeu foarte frumos, dar celălalt nu rămâne zidit sufleteşte.
3. Prayer with the church leads to edification or strengthening of the soul
1 Corinthians 14:14 For if I pray in a tongue, my spirit prays, but my understanding is unfruitful. 15 What is the conclusion then? I will pray with the spirit, and I will also pray with the understanding. I will sing with the spirit, and I will also sing with the understanding. 16 Otherwise, if you bless with the spirit, how will he who occupies the place of the uninformed say “Amen” at your giving of thanks, since he does not understand what you say? 17 For you indeed give thanks well, but the other is not edified.
4. Rămânerea în credință în ciuda circumstanțelor potrivnice, duce la edificarea sau întărirea sufletească
Iuda 1:20. Dar voi, preaiubiţilor, zidiţi-vă sufleteşte pe credinţa voastră preasfântă,…
Evrei 10:37. „Încă puţină, foarte puţină vreme”, şi „Cel ce vine va veni şi nu va zăbovi. 38. Şi cel neprihănit va trăi prin credinţă; dar, dacă dă înapoi, sufletul Meu nu găseşte plăcere în el.” 39. Noi însă nu suntem din aceia care dau înapoi ca să se piardă, ci din aceia care au credinţă pentru mântuirea sufletului.
4. Remaining in the faith in spite of adverse circumstances leads to edification or strengthening of the soul
Jude1:20 But you, beloved, building yourselves up on your most holy faith…
Hebrews 10:37 “For yet a little while, And He who is coming will come and will not tarry. 38 Now the just shall live by faith; But if anyone draws back, My soul has no pleasure in him.”
5. Punerea în practică a Cuvântului Evangheliei duce la edificarea sau întărirea sufletească
Filipeni 1:27. Numai, purtaţi-vă într-un chip vrednic de Evanghelia lui Hristos, pentru ca, fie că voi veni să vă văd, fie că voi rămâne departe de voi, să aud despre voi că rămâneţi tari în acelaşi duh şi că luptaţi cu un suflet pentru credinţa Evangheliei, 28. fără să vă lăsaţi înspăimântaţi de potrivnici; lucrul acesta este pentru ei o dovadă de pierzare, şi de mântuirea voastră, şi aceasta de la Dumnezeu.
Evrei 4:14. Astfel, fiindcă avem un Mare Preot însemnat, care a străbătut cerurile – pe Isus, Fiul lui Dumnezeu – să rămânem tari în mărturisirea noastră.
5. The implementation of the Word of the Gospel leads to the edification or strengthening of the soul
Philippians 1:27 Only let your conduct be worthy of the gospel of Christ, so that whether I come and see you or am absent, I may hear of your affairs, that you stand fast in one spirit, with one mind striving together for the faith of the gospel, 28 and not in any way terrified by your adversaries, which is to them a proof of perdition, but [a]to you of salvation, and that from God.
Hebrews 4:14 Seeing then that we have a great High Priest who has passed through the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our confession.
6. Relația personală cu Dumnezeu duce la edificarea sau întărirea sufletească
Coloseni 2:6. Astfel, dar, după cum aţi primit pe Hristos Isus, Domnul, aşa să şi umblaţi în El,7. fiind înrădăcinaţi şi zidiţi în El, întăriţi prin credinţă, după învăţăturile care v-au fost date, şi sporind în ea cu mulţumiri către Dumnezeu.

6. The personal relationship with God leads to edification or strengthening of the soul
Colossians 2:6 As you therefore have received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk in Him, 7 rooted and built up in Him and established in the faith, as you have been taught, abounding in it with thanksgiving.
Ephesians 3:14 For this reason I bow my knees to the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, 15 from whom the whole family in heaven and earth is named, 16 that He would grant you, according to the riches of His glory, to be strengthened with might through His Spirit in the inner man,
APLICAREA LECȚIEI – LESSON APPLICATION:
Ca să te întărești sufletește este foarte important pentru fiecare în parte, însă și pentru Biserică, ca și creștini suntem angrenați într-un război spiritual, iar Dumnezeu ne vrea învingători, putem realiza tăria aceasta prin hrănirea și rămânerea în Cuvântul lui Dumnezeu, prin folosirea anumitor daruri ale Duhului slujind în biserică, prin rugăciunea în Biserică, prin rămânerea în credință indiferent de circumstanțe, prin trăirea Cuvântului în viața de zi cu zi și printr-o relație personală strânsă cu Domnul.
To strengthen your soul is very important for each one of us, but also for the Church, as Christians we are engaged in a spiritual war, and God wants us to be victorious, we can achieve this strength by the nourishment and abiding in the Word of God, by using certain gifts of the Spirit serving in the church, through prayer in the Church, by remaining in the faith no matter the circumstances, by living the Word in daily life, and by a close personal relationship with the Lord.
