What do we do and how do we react in the turbulent times that God allows in our walk on this earth? (2 Samuel 15: 13-18)

2 Samuel 15:13. Cineva a venit şi a dat de ştire lui David şi a zis: „Inima oamenilor lui Israel s-a întors spre Absalom.” 14. Şi David a zis tuturor slujitorilor lui care erau cu el la Ierusalim: „Sculaţi-vă să fugim, căci nu vom scăpa dinaintea lui Absalom. Grăbiţi-vă de plecare; altfel, nu va întârzia să ne ajungă şi va arunca nenorocirea peste noi şi va trece cetatea prin ascuţişul sabiei.” 15. Slujitorii împăratului i-au zis: „Slujitorii tăi vor face tot ce va voi domnul nostru împăratul.” 16. Împăratul a ieşit, şi toată casa lui mergea după el; şi a lăsat zece ţiitoare pentru paza casei. 17. Împăratul a ieşit astfel, şi tot poporul îl urma. Şi s-au oprit la cea din urmă casă. 18. Toţi slujitorii lui, toţi cheretiţii şi toţi peletiţii, au trecut alături de el; şi toţi gatiţii, în număr de şase sute de oameni, veniţi din Gat, după el, au trecut înaintea împăratului.

2 Samuel 15:13 A messenger came and told David, “The hearts of the people of Israel are with Absalom.” 14 Then David said to all his officials who were with him in Jerusalem, “Come! We must flee, or none of us will escape from Absalom. We must leave immediately, or he will move quickly to overtake us and bring ruin on us and put the city to the sword.” 15 The king’s officials answered him, “Your servants are ready to do whatever our lord the king chooses.” 16 The king set out, with his entire household following him; but he left ten concubines to take care of the palace. 17 So the king set out, with all the people following him, and they halted at the edge of the city. 18 All his men marched past him, along with all the Kerethites and Pelethites; and all the six hundred Gittites who had accompanied him from Gath marched before the king.

Este o întrebare care ne frământă gândurile și inimile în circumstanțele care le trăim astăzi în țara aceasta unde Dumnezeu a îngăduit să ajungem. O situație de confuzie, de frică, de distrugere, de criză, în care noi ca biserică sau popor al lui Dumnezeu, trebuie să acționăm cu înțelepsiune de Sus și să acționăm în conformitate cu Cuvântul lui Dumnezeu, cu Norma lui Dumnezeu lăsată pentru copii Săi.

It is a question that troubles our thoughts and hearts in the circumstances we live in today in this land where God has allowed us to go. A situation of confusion, fear, destruction, crisis, in which we as a church or people of God, must act wisely from Above and act in accordance with the Word of God, with the Norm of God left for His children .


Haideți să privim împreună la tabloul acesta al detronării și evenimentelor din viața lui David și să învățăm de la el cum să ne comportăm ca și oameni ai lui Dumnezeu în vremuri tulburi de încercare pe care Dumnezeu le îngăduie peste viața noastră:

Let’s look at this picture of the dethronement and events in David’s life together and learn from him how to behave as God’s people in troubled times that God allows over our lives:


1. În vremuri tulburi, de încercare, vino înaintea lui Dumnezeu
1. In troubled times of trial, come before God

2 Samuel 13: 31. Împăratul s-a sculat, şi-a rupt hainele şi s-a culcat pe pământ, şi toţi slujitorii lui stăteau acolo cu hainele sfâşiate.
2 Samuel 13:31 The king stood up, tore his clothes and lay down on the ground; and all his attendants stood by with their clothes torn.

În vremuri tulburi, de încercare vino la Domnul și să rămânem sub autoritatea Lui, să stăm în post și rugăciune
In troubled times, try to come to the Lord and stay under His authority, to fast and pray

– Amnon se lasă mânat de pofta sexuală și-și violează sora. El nu se consultă cu tatăl său sau să caute voia lui Dumnezeu, ci acționează mânat de sfaturi rele primite de la sfătuitori răi, precum Șimea.
2 Samuel 13: 11. Pe când i le dădea ea să le mănânce, el a apucat-o şi i-a zis: „Vino, soro, şi culcă-te cu mine.” 12. Ea i-a răspuns: „Nu, frate, nu mă necinsti, căci nu se face aşa în Israel; nu face mişelia aceasta. 13. Unde mă voi duce eu cu ruşinea mea? Şi tu vei trece drept un mişel în Israel. Acum, vorbeşte, te rog, împăratului, şi nu se va împotrivi să fiu a ta.” 14. Dar el n-a vrut s-o asculte; a silit-o, a necinstit-o şi s-a culcat cu ea.
– Amnon is driven by sexual lust and rapes his sister.” He does not consult with his father or seek the will of God, but acts driven by bad advice received from evil counselors, such as Shimea.
2 Samuel 13:11 But when she took it to him to eat, he grabbed her and said, “Come to bed with me, my sister.” 12 “No, my brother!” she said to him. “Don’t force me! Such a thing should not be done in Israel! Don’t do this wicked thing. 13 What about me? Where could I get rid of my disgrace? And what about you? You would be like one of the wicked fools in Israel. Please speak to the king; he will not keep me from being married to you.” 14 But he refused to listen to her, and since he was stronger than she, he raped her.

– Absalom fratele lui Amnon îl urăște pe fratele său pentru fapta sa și plănuiește uciderea lui
2 Samuel 13: 22. Absalom n-a vorbit nici bine, nici rău cu Amnon; dar a început să-l urască, pentru că necinstise pe sora sa Tamar. 23. După doi ani, pe când Absalom avea tunsul oilor la Baal-Haţor, lângă Efraim, a poftit pe toţi fiii împăratului.
– Absalom brother of Amnon hates his brother for his deed and plans to kill him
2 Samuel 13:22 And Absalom never said a word to Amnon, either good or bad; he hated Amnon because he had disgraced his sister Tamar. 23 Two years later, when Absalom’s sheepshearers were at Baal Hazor near the border of Ephraim, he invited all the king’s sons to come there.

– Absalom era însă mânat de aceeași poftă și mai târziu după cel detronează pe David intră la țiitoarele tatălui său
2 Samuel 16: 21. Şi Ahitofel a zis lui Absalom: „Intră la ţiitoarele pe care le-a lăsat tatăl tău pentru paza casei; astfel, tot Israelul va şti că te-ai făcut urât tatălui tău, şi mâinile tuturor celor ce sunt cu tine se vor întări.” 22. Au întins un cort pentru Absalom pe acoperiş, şi Absalom a intrat la ţiitoarele tatălui său, în faţa întregului Israel. –
– But Absalom was driven by the same lust, and later after he dethroned David, he entered his father’s house.
2 Samuel 16:21 Ahithophel answered, “Sleep with your father’s concubines whom he left to take care of the palace. Then all Israel will hear that you have made yourself obnoxious to your father, and the hands of everyone with you will be more resolute.” 22 So they pitched a tent for Absalom on the roof, and he slept with his father’s concubines in the sight of all Israel.

 
Matei 24: 8. Dar toate aceste lucruri nu vor fi decât începutul durerilor. 9. Atunci vă vor da să fiţi chinuiţi şi vă vor omorî; şi veţi fi urâţi de toate neamurile pentru Numele Meu. 10. Atunci mulţi vor cădea, se vor vinde unii pe alţii şi se vor urî unii pe alţii. 11. Se vor scula mulţi proroci mincinoşi şi vor înşela pe mulţi. 12. Şi, din pricina înmulţirii fărădelegii, dragostea celor mai mulţi se va răci. 13. Dar cine va răbda până la sfârşit va fi mântuit. 14. Evanghelia aceasta a Împărăţiei va fi propovăduită în toată lumea, ca să slujească de mărturie tuturor neamurilor. Atunci va veni sfârşitul.
Matthew 24:8 All these are the beginning of birth pains. 9 “Then you will be handed over to be persecuted and put to death, and you will be hated by all nations because of me. 10 At that time many will turn away from the faith and will betray and hate each other, 11 and many false prophets will appear and deceive many people. 12 Because of the increase of wickedness, the love of most will grow cold, 13 but the one who stands firm to the end will be saved. 14 And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in the whole world as a testimony to all nations, and then the end will come.


2. În vremuri tulburi lasă-te călăuzit de înțelepciunea lui Dumnezeu
2. In troubled times let yourself be guided by the wisdom of God

Absalom fuge la împăratul Gheșurului și trei ani se ascunde acolo. Ioab slujitorul lui Dumnezeu aduce o femeie la David care printr-o istorisire emoțională îl face pe David să-l ierte pe fiul său.
2 Samuel 14:13. Femeia a zis: „Pentru ce gândeşti tu astfel cu privire la poporul lui Dumnezeu, căci nu iese chiar din cuvintele împăratului că împăratul este ca şi vinovat când nu cheamă înapoi pe acela pe care l-a gonit? 14. Trebuie negreşit să murim şi vom fi ca nişte ape vărsate pe pământ, care nu se mai adună. Dumnezeu nu ia viaţa, ci doreşte ca fugarul să nu rămână izgonit dinaintea Lui.
Absalom flees to the king of Geshur and hides there for three years. Joab, the servant of God, brings a woman to David who, through an emotional story, makes David forgive his son.
2 Samuel 14:13 The woman said, “Why then have you devised a thing like this against the people of God? When the king says this, does he not convict himself, for the king has not brought back his banished son? 14 Like water spilled on the ground, which cannot be recovered, so we must die. But that is not what God desires; rather, he devises ways so that a banished person does not remain banished from him.

– Înțelepciunea lui Dumnezeu te duce la iertare
2 Samuel 14: 21. Împăratul a zis lui Ioab: „Iată, vreau să fac lucrul acesta; du-te, dar, de adu înapoi pe tânărul Absalom.”
– Înțelepciunea lui Dumnezeu te duce la a ajuta pe vinovat să se apropie de Dumnezeu
– Înțelepciunea lui Dumnezeu te duce la dragoste față de cei vinovați
2 Samuel 14: 33. Ioab s-a dus la împărat şi i-a spus lucrul acesta. Şi împăratul a chemat pe Absalom, care a venit la el şi s-a aruncat cu faţa la pământ înaintea lui. Împăratul a sărutat pe Absalom.

– God’s wisdom leads you to forgiveness
2 Samuel 14:21 The king said to Joab, “Very well, I will do it. Go, bring back the young man Absalom.”
– God’s wisdom leads you to help the culprit draw closer to God
– God’s wisdom leads you to love ,in comparison to the guilty
2 Samuel 14:33 So Joab went to the king and told him this. Then the king summoned Absalom, and he came in and bowed down with his face to the ground before the king. And the king kissed Absalom.

Iacov 3: 17. Înţelepciunea care vine de sus este, întâi, curată, apoi paşnică, blândă, uşor de înduplecat, plină de îndurare şi de roade bune, fără părtinire, nefăţarnică.
James 3:17 But the wisdom that comes from heaven is first of all pure; then peace-loving, considerate, submissive, full of mercy and good fruit, impartial and sincere.


3. În vremuri tulburi lasă-te sub autoritatea lui Dumnezeu și du-ți crucea îngăduită de Dumnezeu în integritate
3. In troubled times, submit to God’s authority and carry the cross allowed by God in its integrity

– Absalom câștigă într-un mod mârșav inima oamenilor lui Israel, iar la momentul oportun hotărăște detronarea lui David
2 Samuel 15: 6. Absalom se purta aşa cu toţi aceia din Israel care se duceau la împărat să ceară dreptate. Şi Absalom câştiga inima oamenilor lui Israel. 7. După trecere de patruzeci de ani, Absalom a zis împăratului: „Dă-mi voie să mă duc la Hebron să împlinesc o juruinţă pe care am făcut-o Domnului.
2 Samuel 15: 10. Absalom a trimis iscoade în toate seminţiile lui Israel, să spună: „Când veţi auzi sunetul trâmbiţei, să ziceţi: „Absalom s-a făcut împărat la Hebron!” 11. Două sute de oameni din Ierusalim, care fuseseră poftiţi, au însoţit pe Absalom; şi l-au însoţit în prostia lor, fără să ştie nimic.
– Absalom viciously wins the hearts of the people of Israel, and at the right time decides to dethrone David
2 Samuel 15:6 Absalom behaved in this way toward all the Israelites who came to the king asking for justice, and so he stole the hearts of the people of Israel. 7 At the end of four years, Absalom said to the king, “Let me go to Hebron and fulfill a vow I made to the Lord.
2 Samuel 15:10 Then Absalom sent secret messengers throughout the tribes of Israel to say, “As soon as you hear the sound of the trumpets, then say, ‘Absalom is king in Hebron.’” 11 Two hundred men from Jerusalem had accompanied Absalom. They had been invited as guests and went quite innocently, knowing nothing about the matter.

– David fuge și  ieșind din cetate preotul Țadoc îl însoțește cu chivotul, însă David se lasă cu totul în mâinile și sub autoritatea lui Dumnezeu
2 Samuel 15:25. Împăratul a zis lui Ţadoc: „Du chivotul lui Dumnezeu înapoi în cetate. Dacă voi căpăta trecere înaintea Domnului, mă va aduce înapoi şi mă va face să văd chivotul şi Locaşul Lui. 26. Dar dacă va zice: „Nu-mi place de tine”, iată-mă, să facă ce va crede cu mine.”
2 Samuel 15: 30. David a suit dealul măslinilor. Suia plângând şi cu capul acoperit şi mergea cu picioarele goale; şi toţi cei ce erau cu el şi-au acoperit şi ei capul şi suiau plângând. 31. Au venit şi au spus lui David: „Ahitofel este împreună cu Absalom printre uneltitori.” Şi David a zis: „Doamne, nimiceşte sfaturile lui Ahitofel!” 32. Când a ajuns David pe vârf, unde s-a închinat înaintea lui Dumnezeu, iată că Huşai, architul, a venit înaintea lui, cu haina sfâşiată şi capul acoperit cu ţărână.
– David flees and the priest Zadok leaves the city and accompanies him with the ark, but David leaves himself completely in the hands and under the authority of God
2 Samuel 15:25 Then the king said to Zadok, “Take the ark of God back into the city. If I find favor in the Lord’s eyes, he will bring me back and let me see it and his dwelling place again. 26 But if he says, ‘I am not pleased with you,’ then I am ready; let him do to me whatever seems good to him.”
2 Samuel 15:30 But David continued up the Mount of Olives, weeping as he went; his head was covered and he was barefoot. All the people with him covered their heads too and were weeping as they went up. 31 Now David had been told, “Ahithophel is among the conspirators with Absalom.” So David prayed, “Lord, turn Ahithophel’s counsel into foolishness.” 32 When David arrived at the summit, where people used to worship God, Hushai the Arkite was there to meet him, his robe torn and dust on his head.

Luca 9: 23. Apoi a zis tuturor: „Dacă voieşte cineva să vină după Mine, să se lepede de sine, să-şi ia crucea în fiecare zi şi să Mă urmeze. 24. Fiindcă oricine va voi să-şi scape viaţa o va pierde; dar oricine îşi va pierde viaţa pentru Mine o va mântui. 25. Şi ce ar folosi unui om să câştige toată lumea, dacă s-ar prăpădi sau s-ar pierde pe sine însuşi?
Luke 9:23 Then he said to them all: “Whoever wants to be my disciple must deny themselves and take up their cross daily and follow me. 24 For whoever wants to save their life will lose it, but whoever loses their life for me will save it. 25 What good is it for someone to gain the whole world, and yet lose or forfeit their very self?


4. În vremuri tulburi încrede-te în protecția și purtarea de grijă a lui Dumnezeu și nu răspunde răului cu rău, ci lasă totul în mâna lui Dumnezeu
4. In troubled times trust in God’s protection and care and do not respond to evil with evil, but leave everything in God’s hands

2 Samuel 16: 1. Când trecuse David puţin de vârf, iată că Ţiba, slujitorul lui Mefiboşet, a venit înaintea lui cu doi măgari înşeuaţi, pe care erau două sute de pâini, o sută de turte de stafide, o sută de roade de vară şi un burduf cu vin. 2. Împăratul a zis lui Ţiba: „Ce vrei să faci cu acestea?” Şi Ţiba a răspuns: „Măgarii sunt pentru casa împăratului, pentru călărie, pâinile şi roadele de vară sunt pentru hrana tinerilor, şi vinul pentru potolirea setei celor ce vor fi obosiţi în pustiu.”
2 Samuel 16:1. When David had gone a short distance beyond the summit, there was Ziba, the steward of Mephibosheth, waiting to meet him. He had a string of donkeys saddled and loaded with two hundred loaves of bread, a hundred cakes of raisins, a hundred cakes of figs and a skin of wine. 2 The king asked Ziba, “Why have you brought these?” Ziba answered, “The donkeys are for the king’s household to ride on, the bread and fruit are for the men to eat, and the wine is to refresh those who become exhausted in the wilderness.”

– Șimei, fiul lui Ghera blestemă pe David și dă cu pietre după el,  însă deși David avea putere să-l ucidă, n-o face, ci lasă totul în Mâna lui Dumnezeu
2 Samuel 16: 11. Şi David a zis lui Abişai şi tuturor slujitorilor săi: „Iată că fiul meu, care a ieşit din trupul meu, vrea să-mi ia viaţa; cu cât mai mult beniamitul acesta! Lăsaţi-l să blesteme, căci Domnul i-a zis. 12. Poate că Domnul Se va uita la necazul meu şi-mi va face bine în locul blestemelor de azi.”
– Shimei the son of Gera cursed David, and stoned him with stones.
2 Samuel 16:11 David then said to Abishai and all his officials, “My son, my own flesh and blood, is trying to kill me. How much more, then, this Benjamite! Leave him alone; let him curse, for the Lord has told him to. 12 It may be that the Lord will look upon my misery and restore to me his covenant blessing instead of his curse today.”

– Chiar Fiul lui David, Absalom, plătește cu viața răzvrătirea lui și moare
2 Samuel 18: 14. Ioab a zis: „Nu voi zăbovi atâta cu tine!” Şi a luat trei săgeţi în mână şi le-a înfipt în inima lui Absalom, care era încă plin de viaţă în mijlocul stejarului. 15. Zece tineri, care duceau armele lui Ioab, au înconjurat pe Absalom, l-au lovit şi l-au omorât.
– Even the Son of David, Absalom, pays with his life his rebellion and dies
2 Samuel 18:14 Joab said, “I’m not going to wait like this for you.” So he took three javelins in his hand and plunged them into Absalom’s heart while Absalom was still alive in the oak tree. 15 And ten of Joab’s armor-bearers surrounded Absalom, struck him and killed him.

Luca 6: 27. Dar Eu vă spun vouă care Mă ascultaţi: Iubiţi pe vrăjmaşii voştri, faceţi bine celor ce vă urăsc, 28. binecuvântaţi pe cei ce vă blestemă, rugaţi-vă pentru cei ce se poartă rău cu voi. 29. Dacă te bate cineva peste o falcă, întoarce-i şi pe cealaltă. Dacă îţi ia cineva haina cu sila, nu-l opri să-ţi ia şi cămaşa. 30. Oricui îţi cere, dă-i; şi celui ce-ţi ia cu sila ale tale, nu i le cere înapoi. 31. Ce voiţi să vă facă vouă oamenii, faceţi-le şi voi la fel.
Luke 6:27 “But to you who are listening I say: Love your enemies, do good to those who hate you, 28 bless those who curse you, pray for those who mistreat you. 29 If someone slaps you on one cheek, turn to them the other also. If someone takes your coat, do not withhold your shirt from them. 30 Give to everyone who asks you, and if anyone takes what belongs to you, do not demand it back. 31 Do to others as you would have them do to you.
